Assist Personal Activities High refers to personal care support for participants whose disability-related needs require a higher level of skill, experience and complexity from their support worker — beyond standard personal care, but within the personal activities domain rather than clinical procedures.
This support is appropriate for participants who have complex physical needs, challenging behaviour, or multiple co-occurring disability conditions that require workers with advanced training and competency to deliver safe, effective personal care.

Our Approach
We take a thorough, documentation-led approach to Assist Personal Activities High. Before commencing support, we complete a detailed participant profile, risk assessment, and personal care plan that clearly identifies the specific complexity factors and the worker competencies required.
Workers assigned to Assist Personal Activities High roles are selected based on demonstrated competency, experience with complex participants, and successful completion of required training. We conduct regular supervision and review of all high-complexity personal care to ensure standards are maintained.
